Paddy Power is expanding its poker betting service with a host of new markets

If you can’t play in the big poker tournaments, you’ve always got the option of betting on them, as Paddy Power has announced markets for upcoming tourneys.

The markets are ‘outright betting’ and ‘to make final table’ for four upcoming tournaments.

The Irish Bookmaker has announced betting on Irish Poker Open 2008, GUKPT, WPT Mirage Poker Showdown and Waterford Open.

Paddy Power, head of communications for the bookmakers said, "After the huge success of the Irish Open we’re already planning the 2008 event and you can get your bets on now."

"We will be launching loads of markets throughout the year so there can be no doubt that Paddy Power is now the home for betting on poker!"

Season six of the WPT kicks off in the Mirage Casino this month attracting all the biggest names in the world to Las Vegas. WSOP Champion Carlos Mortenson was first out of this year’s Irish Open only to win his next event, the season five WPT Championship in the Bellagio.

Expanding their markets to give more local interest, Paddy Power have also opened betting on the Grosvenor UK Poker Tour event in Brighton and the Waterford Open in Ireland which both run from the 19-20 May.

David Colclough won in the GUKPT in Manchester last month but punters looking beyond the favourite in Brighton can choose from a list of over 100 runners.

To make the final table in Brighton:
