Four more stops for UK’s biggest poker tour
The latest season of the UK and Ireland Poker Tour (UKIPT to most) is almost here. And as excitement builds for the nation’s biggest and most popular poker tour, organisers have released details on four new stops for 2012.
In addition to the Galway, Nottingham, Dublin and Newcastle legs already announced, the PokerStars sponsored tour will welcome players to Cork, Edinburgh and Swansea in the coming months, as well as a big-money trip to London to round things off in style.
This will be the first time the tour has made a stop in Wales, and PokerStars is expecting a bumper turnout when the tour pulls into Aspers Casino on November 22.
The tour then makes a return to Edinburgh and Cork in early 2013 before climaxing in London where, for the first time, a dedicated UKIPT main event will play out instead of the European Poker Tour London doubling as the UKIPT final. Which is nice.
Each stop on this year’s UKIPT is guaranteeing a £250,000/€250,000 prizepool for your £700 + £70 main event buy-in, so get your game face on when the tour kicks off in Galway on February 16.
