SKY programme guide re-shuffle means relocation for betting and gaming channel
The UK SKY digital Channel 425, home of poker magazine show Poker 425 is moving up the channel guide and re-branding as Channel 854.
The channel, run by bookmakers and gaming operator William Hill, will move to its new home on March 6 after a re-shuffle in SKY’s Electronic Programme Guide (EPG).
Channel 854 will now host William Hill’s interactive channel, which provides a combination of sporting events, virtual racing, interactive gaming and most importantly poker news and views. It is still available free to air to Sky Digital subscribers and the only difference the viewers will see is the new channel number they will tune in to.
Poker 425 is broadcast at 11.00pm Wednesday and is repeated at the same time every night. It provides a combination of interviews, tips, reviews and all the latest tournament news.
Hosted by top sports analyst and celebrity poker player Jonny Gould, with retired poker legend Tony ‘Tikay’ Kendall the show provides studio analysis and expert opinion on all the latest happenings. Roaming reporter Rhowena Colclough brings ‘on-the-spot’ scoops from the tournaments.
William Hill’s television channel has come along way since its launch in October 2004 and now sits neatly between gaming channels and dedicated sports channels in providing a good combination of content that punters want to bet on plus the latest greyhound, sporting and poker information they want.
From March 6, viewers can contact the Channel 854 studios via its new email address of : studio@channel854.com. Full programme listings and news can be found at the Channel 854 website www.channel854.com.
