Million Dollar Hand update

PartyPoker.com’s ‘Million Dollar Hand’ promotion has got off to a storming start and Thursday 12th March 3,214 players had won a hand and 4,617 winning hands had been paid! At the time of writing well over $ 50,000 has already been paid out to players.

The first 48 hours of the promotion saw high levels of activity on the site and the creation of 3,916 pairs, 424 two pairs, 203 three of a kind, 32 straights, 23 flushes, 13 full houses and 6 four of a kind.

A PartyPoker.com spokesman said: “We only have the figures for the first 48 hours at the moment but we’re pleased with the positive feedback this promotion has received from players. Importantly, we haven’t been on the phone to our insurers yet as a Royal Flush hasn’t hit but we’ve still got until the 22nd March to walk the tightrope!”

Players at PartyPoker.com’s real money tables will get a playing card for every 15 PartyPoints they earn between the 11th and 22nd March 2009 and will receive a prize when they’ve built a five-card hand. There’s a guaranteed cash prize if the hand features a pair or better – a royal flush pays $ 1 million! There is no limit on the number of royal flushes that can be hit and the promotion starts with players getting their first card for free.
