Poker and pubs are a match made in heaven, and taking advantage of new legislation that has come into effect, Ladbrokespoker.com has announced details of its new online Pub Poker Championship.
Registration is open up until 28 October and the championship will see players represent their local ‘public house’ in a series of online poker tournaments, earning points and prizes for themselves and the venue.
Players will represent their chosen pub in a series of five online tournaments on Ladbrokes’ poker website with 20 finalists advancing to a live grand final. The pub with the most points at the end of the Championship will win a trophy and a VIP celebrity tournament in their pub. Plus a $5,500 cruise package for two + a package for the pub landlord too.
Every Sunday night at 9.30pm, starting on Sunday 28 October for 5 weeks, there will be a $5 + $0.50 No Limit Holdem tournament for the Pub Poker Championship.

The Live Grand Final takes place at the Paddington Casino on Sunday 9 December, from 2pm in London.
There are twenty seats up for grabs which can be won in one of the following three ways:
Win one of the 5 tournaments in the schedule and players will secure a seat in the Live Grand Final (5) at the Ladbrokes Casino & Sports Bar in Paddington, London.
Every game played also earns points for the leaderboards. If a player hasn’t won one of the individual tournaments, the top 10 people in the Player Leaderboard at the end of the Championship will also win a seat each in the Live Grand Final in London.
Finally if you play in at least 3 of the 5 tournaments and you will be eligible for one of five Wildcard seats at the Grand Final. All 20 Grand Finalists will enjoy a great afternoon of poker in London at the Ladbrokes Casino in Paddington.
Every publican recruiting a set number of players to represent their pub will get a free pub poker pack featuring tables, chips, cards and point-of-sale kits as well as a booklet on how to run compliant pub poker.
