Jeff Lisandro Wins WSOPE Event #2

Jeff Lisandro wins his fifth WSOP bracelet in London’s £5,250 PLO event

Jeff Lisandro has beat a star-studded field to win his fifth WSOP bracelet in event #2 of the 2010 WSOPE, £5,250 PLO. 120 players entered the tournament including big names such as Phil Ivey and Tom Dwan.

Despite those two busting out early on it was still a very interesting final table that reconvened on Saturday. Lisandro was joined by Jeff Madsen, Joe Serock, November Niner John Racener, Chris Bjorin and Willie Tann. It was a remarkable double for both Bjorin and Tann who also made the final table of event #1, £2,650 six-handed NLHE. They finished in 9th and 3rd respectively.

Lisandro, who was 2009 WSOP Player Of The Year after winning three bracelets, defeated young star Serock heads-up. All four of Lisandro’s previous bracelet wins came in Stud events.

The prickly Aussie told PokerPlayer.co.uk why he’s not planning to do any press from now on but you can find our exclusive interview with him here.
