Phil Ivey’s brand new training website, IveyPoker.com has just announced that seven new pros have joined the illustrious roster which already includes the likes of Cole South, Greg Merson, Patrik Antonius, Jennifer Harman and of course Phil Ivey himself. Until now very little about the site has been released, but finally we can now start to build a better picture of what we can expect.
The new list of players who were revealed on Ivey’s Twitter account are: Josh Brikis, Jonathan Tamayo, Gillian Epp, John Eames, David Peters, Balazs Botond and Matt Giannetti. Each has clearly impressed Ivey with their online and live skills and it’s not hard to see why. We all know Matt Giannetti, after he finished fourth in last year’s WSOP Main Event for over $3 million. Jonathan Tamayo has dominated both online and live play around the globe with over $1.5 million in tournaments cashes, while David Peters has amassed more than 200 live cashes winning somewhere in the region of $3.5 million, online he has added an extra $2.9 million.
The site first went live back in October and it is expected that it will begin operating proper from January 14. As well as the training aspect of the site, from the launch players will also be given the option to hone their skills at the play-money tables with the idea moving forward to offer real-money poker using IveyPoker.com’s very own software, designed and developed especially for the site.
