Dave ‘Devilfish’ Ulliott is following in Simon Cowell’s footsteps
DevilfishPoker.com today announced its sponsorship of the Hull Daily Mail’s annual Talent Trail 2009 competition which will see hundreds of hopeful performers shoot for the stars in Yorkshire, England.
Over the next 2 months Talent Trail will see singers, dancers, musician, and comedians battle it out through 16 heats and a semi-final before concluding in May at a packed Hull City Hall with the grand final where Devilfish will be one of the judges.
The money raised through the competition will go to The Echoes Foundation set up by Claire Stockton, whose son Finlay has an undiagnosed brain disorder. She aims to raise enough money to open a one-stop centre for children with special needs.
Dave “Devilfish” Ulliott, who is well known for his own musical ability, including the recent youtube video viral Chocolate Rain, said, “I’ve always loved performing myself and there’s nothing better than standing before an audience and have them shower you with acclaim so DevilfishPoker.com is very happy to support budding Buddy Holly’s and part-time Tina Turner’s.”
“The fact that it supports a very worthy cause in the Echoes Foundation is fantastic and hopefully we can find a new Leona Lewis or Rhydian Roberts. I’ll be helping judge the final so watch out Louis Walsh and Simon Cowell – there’s a new kid on the block!”
The top prize at Talent Trail 2009 is £1,500 cash with second place receiving £750 and third place receiving £250.
