Boylepoker.com adds rake to prizepool of the International Poker Open in Dublin in Ocotber
Boylepoker.com has announced it has added €20,000 to the prize pool of the
International Poker Open 2008, the €135 + €15 buy-in no-limit hold’em tournament
taking place at the Regency Airport Hotel, Dublin, Ireland, from 17-19 October.
The event, which attracted over 1,000 players from across Europe in 2007, will also see an interesting innovation — from 17 August, 20 percent of all rake generated by pre-registered players
will be added to the prize pool.
To participate in this event, players must register through the Boylepoker.com lobby
before Thursday 16 October in order to ensure their entry. Players can elect to play on
Day 1A or Day 1B and can buy-in directly by downloading the client at
Boylepoker.com/ipo and registering for the event. Players can also qualify through a
variety of low buy-in events on the site including:
Scheduled MTT Fridays @ 8pm
$10 + $1 buy-in freezeout/12 min blinds/1 seat guaranteed
Scheduled MTT Sundays @ 8pm
$5 + $0.50 buy-in/1 rebuy & 1 add on/10 min blinds/1 seat guaranteed
Paul Spillane, head of poker at the online site, said, “This event is exceptional in that it
offers poker players a professional structure and service for an amateur fee. Every table
will be dealt by a professional dealer and it’s a great opportunity for players to experience
a large live field over two days of poker for a fraction of the usual cost.”
With an estimated prize pool of €200,000 the overall winner is likely to take home over
€50,000. Players can stay at the Regency Airport Hotel, just 3 km from Dublin Airport,
or in a multitude of hotels and bed & breakfast accommodation close to the venue. More
