Gus Hansen Wins WSOPE High Roller Heads-up

Hansen finally bags an elusive WSOP bracelet in the High Roller Heads-up event

Gus Hansen has won the £10,350 High Roller Heads-up event at the WSOPE, defeating Jim Collopy 2-1 in the final. It is Hansen’s first WSOP bracelet and he also picked up the £288,409 first prize.

Collopy and Hansen started the final three days earlier but, with the game tied at 1-1 and the clock showing 4AM, the two decided to postpone the deciding match until later in the week. Both then decided that they wished to play in the WSOPE main event so the conclusion was delayed even further until they were eliminated.

It’s another huge tournament win to add to the resume of Hansen who has previously won the Aussie Millions and three WPT events.
