Michael ‘The Grinder’ Mizrachi is hit with a lawsuit ahead of his November Nine final table
November Nine star Michael ‘The Grinder’ Mizrachi has been landed with a lawsuit from Texas company Deliverance Poker. From the late stages of the WSOP Main Event to earning his spot on poker’s richest final table Mizrachi was seen sporting Full Tilt Poker logos on TV and in all subsequent media appearances.
Deliverance Poker alleges however that Mizrachi signed an agreement in July 2009 stating that he would represent them. This deal also entitled Mizrachi to a $150k cheque, 1.75% interest in the company and an unspecified number in buy-ins and expenses for poker tournaments around the world. As per the alleged agreement, the Grinder was seen sporting Deliverance Poker patches in the early stages of the WSOP – including his televised win in the $50k Player’s Championship – before beginning to sport the colours of Full Tilt. The American powerhouse and Tiltware, the site’s software and marketing company, are also named in the lawsuit. Both Mizrachi and Full Tilt Poker are yet to make a statement on the matter.
