Back in 2006 a group of friends who were having trouble finding a live game set up www.ukpokerbuddies.com as a solution. The aim was to get likeminded people and together list the games that were happening all over the country.

“Back then we though we’d have about 500 games listed a month at the maximum but it has mushroomed and we are astounded” says Dan Browne, one of the sites creators.

”The new year has come around and were are updating schedules for the site but the sheer volume of games available has blown us away. You really can play any night of the week in every major town and city in the UK. It’s amazing.”

www.ukpokerbuddies.com now lists over 12,000 lives games including leagues, home games and cash games with more being added daily. The site has also recently partnered with Blonde Poker to offer an online solution with private tables for members and also for clubs that do not have an online presence of their own.

“For your average private poker club, we offer the only online poker and live listings solution with functions to contact their players without having to invest in expensive email marketing solutions. We have our work cut out this year but we do it for the love of the game” adds Dan.

“It’s showing no signs of slowing down and that can only be a good thing for all of us.”
