The next Alderney hearing has been postponed yet again
It has been revealed that the scheduled hearing due to
investigate Full Tilt’s potentially unlawful actions has been postponed once
more.
The original hearing was set for July 26, but was then
adjourned to a date promised to be ‘no later than September 15’. In a recent
statement released by the Alderney Gambling Control Commission, it was
announced that the hearing will now take place on September 19 – four days after
the deadline.
Full Tilt lawyer Jeff Ifrah stated in a Q&A thread on
two plus two forums that negotiations between Full Tilt and potential investors
were still ‘actively progressing’. However, since then Ifrah has filed a motion
to step down from his role as attorney of record in the class action case.
Many players have now been left waiting nearly four months
without any clear or definitive indication of how, when or even if their frozen
funds will be returned to them. For these players, the delay will be an unpleasant
experience of déjà vu. Despite
this, many hope to finally get the answers they have sought for so long.
