Canadian pro Erik Cajelais has won the second event of this year’s World Series of Poker Europe, £2,500 Half Pot Limit Omaha/Half Pot Limit Hold’em for £104,677. The imposing Cajelais came through a tough final table that included multiple bracelet winner Men Nguyen and the legendary Howard Lederer. There was also a strong contingent of British players at the final table looking to emulate JP Kelly’s achievement earlier in the week but none could overcome the giant Canadian.
Cajelais previously had a runner-up finish at the 2007 WSOP in a PLO event that featured the UK’s Dave ‘Devilfish’ Ulliott at the final table.
