European Poker Tour announces another new tournament set for Warsaw in Poland in mid March

The European Poker Tour (EPT) is further extended it’s Season 3 activities with a new event in Warsaw, Poland.

The inaugural Warsaw EPT, 14-17 March, 2007, will have a maximum capacity of 300 players and a 15,000 Zloty buy-in (€3,900 approximately), with the no limit texas hold’em tournament taking place at the Hyatt Regency Hotel.

The announcement follows on the heels of the new tournament in Dortmund, Germany, scehduled for the previous week, as the EPT goes from strength to strength.

The EPT, sponsored by PokerStars.com, is Europe’s richest poker tour with over €7m paid out in prize money so far in Season 3. More than 500 players have won EPT seats via PokerStars.com this season.

“An EPT tournament in Poland will help raise the game’s profile in Eastern Europe, and we have secured a world class venue to host the event in Warsaw. This tournament is not going to be televised, but I see this as an exciting first step for the tour,” said EPT Chief Executive John Duthie.
