EPT Dortmund

European Poker Tour set to make it's first ever visit to Germany with tourney in Dortmund

Building on the phenomenal success of the European Poker Tour, sponsors PokerStars.com is pleased to announce that a new event has been added to the schedule for Season Three.

The Dortmund EPT tournament, 8-11 March, 2007, will become the first EPT event to be staged in Germany. The four day, €5,000 buy-in event will be capped at 400 players and will be televised as part of the EPT TV series. The No Limit Texas Hold’em tournament will take place at the Hohensyburg Casino, Dortmund.

The new German event will be the seventh stage of Europe’s richest poker tour, with prize pay outs in EPT Season Three already reaching over €7m.

EPT director John Duthie has been planning an EPT event in Germany for several months. "There are not that many venues in Germany with the space and facilities required to host an EPT tournament, but Casino Hohensyberg in Dortmund is an outstanding casino and comfortably meets the high standards required," says Duthie. "Poker players will be pleased to hear that there will be a full schedule of tournament activities alongside the main event, and cash games will also be available."

Players can qualify for the Dortmund EPT on PokerStars.com from January 1st 2007. For more information on the latest EPT tournament visit http://www.europeanpokertour.com/EPT3_dortmund.html
