Durrrr Playing Catch-up

Durrrr has lost the opening match of his Full Tilt Million Dollar Challenge to the Italian Marcelo ‘luckexpress’ Marigliano. It took 12 hours to play the prerequisite 500 hands, after whch Durrrr was down, albeit by only $22,500.

Were it not for a fightback in the last hour, it could have been a lot more  – at one point Durrrr dropped below $150k and took the $250,000 rebuy. Interestingly Durrrr won 55% of the pots and was his usual aggressive self, raising 84% of the time on the button but it was Marigliano who won the key pots.

‘It’s so crazy that at the end that there was just a $25k difference in the end – that’s abusrd,’ said Dwan. ‘It’s so unlikely that one of us didn’t lose $500k.’
