Online superstar Tom ‘durrrr’ Dwan ends the speculation and joins Team Full Tilt
Online sensation Tom ‘durrrr’ Dwan has joined the likes of Phil Ivey, Gus Hansen and Patrik Antonius as a member of Team Full Tilt. At just 23 years old, Dwan is by far the youngest pro in the team but considering how his profile has grown in the past couple of years it’s not hard to see why he has been snapped up. He has proven himself to be one of the best cash game players in the world and is the first poker superstar to come purely from an online background.
Dwan is the latest addition to Team Full Tilt, following in the footsteps of Patrik Antonius who was signed 18 months ago. There are now 14 members of Team Full Tilt, which is composed of the elite players in the world. This is separate to being a Full Tilt Pro, of which there are now seemingly hundreds throughout the world including Roland de Wolfe, James Akenhead and Eli Elezra.
Durrrr’s appeal to Full Tilt is obvious – whether he’s playing in the nosebleed stakes online, laying down $1m challenges or playing on High Stakes Poker, his presence always gets the forums buzzing. The obvious questions now are: is Dwan going to spend more time playing tournaments or does his share in Full Tilt mean that he barely needs to play poker? Of course, there’s the ultimate question too - do we call him Tom Dwan or durrrr!?
