Someone you might meet there is Dave “Devilfish” Ulliott, who continued his live poker tournament roll at the weekend with a 23rd place finish at the European Poker Tour Deauville, France picking up a tidy €15,500 in the process.

“I was really relaxed and confident going into the game,” said Ulliott. “I felt as if I was destined to make the final table but it’s been a great month and now I’m looking forward to getting back to my website DevilfishPoker.com, playing some bounties and cash games, and gearing up to make this one of my most profitable years ever.”

Earlier in January the Englishman won the Euro Finals of Poker in the Aviation Club de Paris, France picking up €152,000 for his victory as well as a diamond bracelet. That was the second win for Devilfish in 2009, having also dominated a side event at the Irish Poker Championship for a €33,000 victory in the first week of January. His total tournament earnings for January 2009 so far are €200,500.
