Just before Christmas PokerPlayer.co.uk and PokerPlayer magazine ran a great competition to see if our readers could defeat the almighty PokerSnowie at its own game. Challengers from the website and magazine lined up to take their shot at the innovative ‘Challenge PokerSnowie’ feature and, while we’d like to say that Team PokerPlayer kicked a** and took names….that just isn’t true. PokerSnowie’s overall win rate against PokerPlayer readers was a resounding 38.12BB/100.
Don’t feel too bad about it though – the PokerSnowie ‘brain’ is a world-class expert in Game Theory Optimal poker and co-founder Johannes Levermann thinks that it would be able to beat any stakes at online cash games if it were allowed to play. Considering those credentials, the PokerPlayer readers did pretty well. Here are the five players that did best against PokerSnowie – they all win a full year’s license to use the revolutionary coaching program:

On the other end of the scale, one unnamed player somehow managed to lose a whopping 279BB/100! Obviously that reader hasn’t been paying much attention to our superb strategy section here on PokerPlayer.co.uk….
