Freeroll qualifier Blufdaddy wins Betfair’s weekly Sunday $100k tournament
Without risking a single cent of his bankroll, “BlufDaddy” has won $30,000 on Betfair Poker by defeating 180 players to win Betfair’s weekly $100,000 guaranteed.
He won his place in the tournament through a series of two freerolls – saving him from paying the $550 direct buy-in.
“Blufdaddy has made an infinite return on his investment,” said Betfair spokesman Oliver Bowen. “Almost half of all the players in the Betfair $100k qualify via satellites and freerolls. This makes it a great value tournament for poker players at all levels.”
“Skraldeba” succumbed heads up against “Blufdaddy” winning $20,000 in second place. Alias “stephank” came third winning $11,900.
The $30,000 winning hand came shortly after midnight for BlufDaddy who held 649,431 in chips against Skraldeba’s 255,569.
With blinds at 5000/10000 and a 1000 ante the players saw a flop for the minimum. Skraldeba’s pot-sized bet with two pair was not enough to push BlufDaddy off his up and down straight draw.
Having hit his hand BlufDaddy check raised the turn only to be reraised all-in. He called and won the hand with a straight six to deuce.
