Betfair's Asian adventure is ready to roll with the Main Event already at capacity
Great news just in from Betfair, the Main Event their Asian Poker Tour event in Singapore next week is full.
More than 370 players have paid the $5000 buy-in for the Main Event at the Betfair Asian Poker Tour.
Registration is closed. But after the qualifying events, which begin in Singapore on November 12th, Betfair expects more than 400 players for the Main Event.
For a field of 400, first place will pay $558,700, second place $299,800 and third place $149,000, from a prize pool of roughly $2m. (USD)
“This is the largest poker tournament to take place in Asia and the first poker event in Singapore,” said Betfair’s Head of Poker Ben Fried, “we are privileged to host such a groundbreaking event.”
Players from thirty-two countries around the world will join a large contingent of local players for the three day Main Event, starting on November 15th, in the Mandarin Ballroom of the Meritus Mandarin Hotel, Singapore.
