Absolute Poker are offering $100 cash for the best user-designed online poker avatars
It looks like art class at school is finally about to pay off. Absolute Poker today announced a new promotion that promises to pay cash for the best user-created avatars.
“We don’t care if you use crayons, finger paint, MS Paint or Adobe Photoshop,” stated David Clainer, Senior Vice President for Absolute Poker. “We’re looking for the most creative avatars out there and we’ve got cash to prove it.”
An avatar is an online player’s representation of himself or herself in cyberspace. When a poker player takes a seat at an Absolute Poker table, their avatar will be publicly displayed. If a player has not uploaded an avatar, the AP logo is be displayed in its place.
A visit to Absolute Poker’s Texas Hold’em Poker tables reveals that the majority of poker players have yet to create an avatar. According to Clainer, most poker players are too focused on trying to hit Absolute Poker’s impressive Bad Beat Jackpot that they have forgotten about the online poker site’s avatar feature. Clainer notes that the $100 incentive is a great way for any poker player to build a large bankroll.
Any avatars uploaded between now and 31 December will qualify for the promotion. Absolute Poker will choose their three favorites and award those poker players with $100 cash. The site will also randomly select seven poker players each month to receive an entry into a $150,000 qualifier.
