UK amateurs organisation announces deep-stack tourney in Newcastle, Tyne and Wear in December
The Amateur Poker Association & Tour (“APAT”), in association with PokerStars.com, today announced details of its premier UK based live event.
The APAT United Kingdom Amateur Poker Championship will be a two day event, hosted by Aspers Casino, Newcastle, on December 2nd & 3rd, 2006. Tournament seats will be sold online at www.apat.com, from Saturday November 4th. Entry is exclusively open to members of the Amateur Poker Association & Tour.
The tournament, which will have a capacity of 210 entrants, will attract some of the finest amateur players in the UK, who for a £75 entry fee, will play for an estimated prize pool of £15,000 – with the winner taking a substantial cash prize, prestigious title, Silver Challenge Cup, plus a sponsored $12,000 tournament entry package to the World Series Of Poker main event in Las Vegas!
Players will start the tournament with 10,000 chips and a structure designed to encourage creative play throughout. APAT standardised rules will be in operation.
