Seidel on top at Heads Up Championship

Hall of Famer’s unfathomable run continues

Last week we did a piece on how Erik Seidel is smashing up the world of tournament poker. Now, some of you might have been impressed. Heck, some of you might even have thought Seidel was super cool. Forget all that, Erik Seidel is a poker god.

The Hall of Famer and eight-time bracelet winner is on a heater for the ages. Never before has one player gone so deep in every event they’ve put their hands too and we doubt such a run will ever be replicated.

At last weekend’s National Heads-UP Championship, Seidel laid waste to the 64-strong field, seeing off Chris Moneymaker 2-0 in a best-of-three final like it was child’s play. The $750,000 cheque is chump change for a legend with over $14.5 million in live winnings,

Let’s hit you with the cold, hard facts. In three months Seidel has won a ridonkulous $14,697,297, final tabled six events, won three of them and leapfrogged both Phil Ivey and Daniel Negreanu atop the all-time money winners list. If you can top that then we’ll eat Chris Ferguson’s hat.

We’ll have an exclusive with Erik very soon.
