The fifth instalment of the iPoker network’s popular tournament festival, the iPops (iPoker Online Poker Series), kicks off this coming Saturday 16 November. The first week is the iPops Mini Series, with 8 events from as little as a $1 buy-in, and a total of $180k guaranteed. The standout tournament looks to be the $25k guaranteed Deepstack event on Friday 22 November – the buy-in is $33 and there should be plenty of value for experienced tournament players given the long and slow structure.
The main event of the series, the iPops proper, starts on Sunday 24 November and this time there is an amazing $1m guaranteed in total! iPops series in the past have been known to have significant overlays too, so any serious online grinder should have their eye frequently on the tournament lobby at Poker Encore to spot any potential overlays this time round too. The marquee event is quite clearly the $400k guaranteed main event on Saturday 1 December, with a $215 buy-in. There’s a high likelihood of an overlay in this one and the top prize will be approaching $100k.
