Everest Poker has made the biggest signing of the year with Sam Trickett
UK poker superstar Sam Trickett has joined Everest Poker as a sponsored pro. The signing of Trickett, the fifth biggest tournament winner of all time with just under $20m in cashes, is a bold statement of intent from Everest, who have been an established force in Europe for many years.
Speaking to PokerPlayer in an exclusive interview Trickett said, ‘I decided that Everest Poker was a great site to partner with. I want to be accessible to the average player, so will be involved with Everest players both on and off the table. Over the last few years I have been really busy in Macau, but now that the games have calmed down I have the time on my hands to really get involved with Everest Poker.’

To celebrate the breakthrough signing Everest are going ahead with an incredible offer where qualifying players will win 10% of Sam’s action at the World Series of Poker, excluding his play at the $1m Big One for One Drop. Given Sam’s past track record this unique activity has the potential to earn thousands of lucky Everest Poker players a tidy sum. ‘There are a lot of people that will never get the chance to play in the WSOP or win a huge amount of money,’ said Trickett, ‘so I wanted to have the chance to do that for other people. Trickett is a perfect signing for Everest Poker. Not only is he marketable and extremely accommodating to the poker media, but Trickett’s credentials as a poker player are world-class. Aside from his huge tournament winnings, Trickett was an original member of the line-up in the huge, secretive Macau cash games that emerged from 2010 onwards. Regularly playing for millions of dollars each and every session Trickett has been one of the biggest winners in that game and recently revealed in a PokerPlayer exclusive that he had won so much money he is no longer welcome in the game!
