Big overlay last year so get ready to soak up the value in Reading!
This week sees the 7th leg of season 8 of the Grosvenor Casinos’ GUKPT. The tour bus is headed to the Berkshire town of Reading for only the second time in its history, after its debut in 2013. 140 players battled it out in Reading last year and it was James Martin who emerged £22,600 better off after taking top spot. Grosvenor pro, previous GUKPT main event winner and tour stalwart Jeff Kimber had to settle for the runners-up position and recent 25/25 series main event winner Ellie Biessek fell just short in 3rd place.
Reading is well known for its annual music festival, but this week is the main attraction for the poker community. Almost £15,000 was added by Grosvenor Casino to the prizepool of last year’s main event and there could well be an overlay again this year. WSOP hangovers and the hot weather can conspire to keep poker players away which means more value for you. The £100k guarantee means there’s potentially huge value up for grabs in Reading, along with the prestigious GUKPT title.
