Online young-guns confirmed as seventh and eighth players in this year’s Premier League VI
Earlier this week we brought you details of the first six players who will be competing in the sixth season of the PartyPoker.com Premier League. Well, that list has just grown to eight and if the first six names were dominated by old-schoolers, the latest two editions come from the opposite end of the poker spectrum.
The first name added to be added to the list is Daniel Cates. Best known as the online phenom “jungleman12”, Cates’ fearless style of play has won him fans all around the globe and his battles with the games best players are the stuff of legend. One of the best cash game players around, Cates has recently been playing in more live events so he’ll be well practiced for the Premier League VI.
The other entrant added to the line-up is the outspoken Englishman Luke “fullflush” Schwartz. Since confirming his attendance, Schwartz has wasted no time trash talking the rest of the field, “I cannot wait for the PartyPoker.com Premier League VI. From what I see there isn’t a single shark in the line-up yet so they’ll all be getting steamrolled!” For now though we’ll just have to wait and see if his performance can back up his confident words.
The two young-guns who both made their names at the nose-bleed games, have consistently proved their talent in the online arena, but the high-roller $125k buy-in event, taking place at the Aspers Casino from March 17-23 will be an altogether different challenge.
With less than four weeks to go until the event begins, make sure to keep checking pokerplayer.co.uk for all the latest updates as details about the final eight players emerge.
