Roland de Wolfe 150 pts
Phil Helmuth 350 pts
JC Tran 40 pts
David ‘Chip’ Reese 50 pts
Allen Cunningham 300 pts
Patrick Antonius 250 pts
Points total: 1750
Paul Wasicka
Came 2nd in last year’s event and has posted impressive results since. He’s no flash in the pan so is definitely worth a look at a very reasonable 100 points.
Joe Hachem
Ludicrously underpriced at 150 points, he came close to winning two more bracelets at last years WSOP (2nd and 4th) before scooping $2.2m when winning a WPT event this year.
Jennifer Harman
Class female player who should also play a lot of events – likely to score points.
Todd Brunson
Underpriced at 60. Will play a lot of events, and is a good all rounder.
Roland de Wolfe
You can’t argue with form: having become the first player ever to win WPT and EPT events, former Inside Edge journalist de Wolfe is a good bet to complete the set with his first WSOP bracelet.
Phil Hellmuth
Forget the tantrums, Hellmuth is one of the greatest Hold’em players to ever pick up a chip. While ten bracelets so far, The Brat will play as many hold’em events as possible in search of that record breaking 11th WSOP title. Don’t be surprised if he does it.
JC Tran
Criminally underrated, this Vietnamese genius is world class. Winner of the biggest ever online tournament to date, he’s also come second in a WSOP Circuit event, had six cashes (including a 2nd place finish at last year’s WSOP) and has two WPT titles this year (he was voted WPT Player of the Year). Will become a legend.
David “Chip” Reese
50 points?! For the man who won last year’s $50k HORSE event? Will play more tournaments than normal this year, and has excellent chances of scoring in the non-Hold’em tournaments. Probably the best all round poker player in the world.
Allen Cunningham
Went deep in last year’s Main Event, he’s got pedigree with his five bracelets.
Patrik Antonius
Final tabled in the 2006 HORSE event, Antonius is one of the most feared cash game players in the world. He’s also got a bit of tournament form too, and we fancy him to have a good World Series.
