Interactive channel is revolutionising televised poker format in the UK
Sky TV is transforming the way people watch and play poker after unveiling its latest digital channel, Sky Poker.
The new station, which went to air recently, has been launched to bring poker into the mainstream and, if our sneak preview was anything to go by, its revolutionary new approach could well succeed.
Sky Poker is introducing Red Button technology that, for the first time, will allow you to play Hold’em through your TV as well as online. It’s an innovative world-first that should introduce a lot of new players to the game, which is great news for the more experienced players like yourself.

The channel’s flagship programme, The Open, is a live studio show that covers a low buy-in MTT every night being played on www.skypoker. com. Presenters will talk through the action using cutting edge green-screen technology, so if it’s your set of Fours that crack someone’s Aces expect to get your five minutes of fame.
You can register for a seat through the online poker room or by hitting the Red Button and setting up a Sky Bet account. The Open is broadcast at 9pm every night and Sky Poker broadcasts on Sky 846.
