PokerPlayer GNUF freeroll winner Matthew Carter goes deep at World Series of Poker Europe
PokerPlayer reader Matthew Carter enters day three of the £10,000 World Series of Poker Europe Main Event with a real shot of making the money.
But Carter, who won entry into the tournament through a PokerPlayer freeroll, still has to guide his 58,400 stack through the dangerous currents of the table of death.
Amateur player Carter has be drawn at the same table as the ultra-aggressive pairing of tournament leaders, Gus Hansen and Patrick Antonius.
And if that wasn’t enough, who is sat directly to his right with position on him? Daniel Negreanu.
It won’t be easy but with just 84 runners left, Matthew has a great chance to reach the 36 money spots. 36th pays out £27,150, which would be a good return on the cost of a £2.25 magazine.
And if he keeps on going he stands to win a guaranteed £1m first prize.
Matt starts the day with around 30 big blinds and with well over 1m chips at the table and some very lively players the PokerPlayer qualifier stands a great chance to get action if he hits some hands.
We’ll be checking up on Matt throughout the day.
Matt’s table:
Patrick Antonious 283200

Daniel Negreanu 31700
Willaim Durkee 92600
