Here are five things that would put anyone on tilt playing live poker
This was a hard one to narrow down but we’ve given it our best shot!
1. Misdeals
I’m not going to look. I’m not going to look. I’ve looked. F%!*. Those Aces were the wrong colour anyway. Flops are never red here.
2. Dress sense
Players don’t have to be decked out in suits and wing tips, but don’t just let Sports Direct throw-up on you. Hang on. What’s that underneath your hoodie? An Ed Hardy t-shirt? Okay, keep it on.
3. Loss of time
The tournament’s five hours in, you’ve played two hands and folded both to a pensioner’s four-bet. By the time you bust, a week has passed, flares are back in fashion and your hair has gone grey. Sweet.
4. Body odour
Hundreds of players all crammed into a room the size of your shed only leads to one thing, sweat patches. Good thing most live poker players don’t believe in deodorant. Mmm, musty.
5. Walk of shame
Online you can simply slam your laptop lid closed in a fit of petulance. At the casino you have to slowly pack your things away with the eyes of the room on you before shuffling away in shame. No wonder everyone plays tight.
