PokerPlayer’s May 2016 issue is a cracker (says the Editor!)
Excitement is mounting in the PokerPlayer office. The 2016 World Series of Poker is only a fortnight away and for 46 days we’re going to enter a twilight world where the only thing that matters is what happens at the Rio. Everyone who’s anyone in the poker world will be heading over to Vegas to battle for the precious gold bracelets and the poker immortality that comes from winning the $10k Main Event.
If the $10k buy-in is out of your budget check out our strategy article that could see you qualifying for a fraction of the cost. And remember that there are loads of side events that could see you playing for a bracelet from as little as $565. With the help of our vegas on a budget feature you’d be surprised how little an assault on the WSOP could cost. Vegas cash games are notoriously soft as well so even if you bust out of the WSOP without cashing you could end up coming home with more money than you spent.
If you can’t make it over this summer, don’t panic. The WSOP is streaming all the major final tables so you can follow all the action, with hole cards and commentary, from home. There’s no $1m buy-in this year but the $111,111 High Roller for ONE DROP will be broadcast, along with the $50k Poker Players Championship.
Finally, we’ve got probably the best value competition ever seen in a poker mag! We are giving away two luxury poker holidays to the 5 Star Mazagan Beach Resort and it won’t cost you a penny (dime) to enter. Don’t even think about not entering! Just click here to put your name down. (By the way, the answer to the question is ‘B’)
