Last month Viktor ‘Isildur1’ Blom agreed to play 100 freeroll qualifiers in a series of heads-up turbo sit-and-gos in his latest online poker challenge. Such was the Full Tilt Poker professional’s confidence, he declared that anyone to beat him would receive an extra $1,000 from his own high-stakes wallet.
And well, the results are in. Although Blom won overall, his 38 losses meant an overall payout of $38,000 to those sick enough to beat him. So not only do those grinders have the ability to brag about beating one of the best online players in the world, but they also get a handy bankroll boost!
Despite losing to 38 players we still think it’s a decent effort from the Swede. Full Tilt provided some facts from the series that showed Blom played five players at a time and was 22-11 down at one point! Added to that, the turbo structure meant that there wasn’t a huge amount of play in each game, in fact one player lasted only one hand!
Players qualified by participating in daily Twitter competitions, making a deposit of $20, cashing in a multi-table tournament, or winning a sit-and-go. Watch out for more promotions on Full Tilt Poker in the future.
