The first major tournament of 2015 is set to play to a finish tonight – make sure you’re watching
The PCA main event played down to the final six last night, with Chance Kornuth set to start in pole position with 7.86m chips. At the other end of the chip stacks is Rami Boukai with 780k – or around 10BBs. The official final table of eight started last night, but play continued until Dylan Linde and Pratyush Buddiga had been eliminated, to avoid the possibility of play going on too long on the final day.
It’s been a cracking start to the year, with big names looking to get 2015 off to a profitable start. One huge name more commonly associated with another sport made all the headlines on Day 4. Brazilian legend Ronaldo made his deepest run in a major tournament, but he couldn’t convert that into a final table appearance when he was busted in 26th. Ronaldo opened with K♦-T♦ before shoving over a three-bet for about 25BBs. Eugenio Mattar made the call with pocket Queens and held up on the 5-J-9-8-J board.
The final table resumes tonight at 1pm ET (6pm UK time), and you can watch the holes-up live stream with commentary from the fantastic team of James Hartigan and Joe Stapleton on a delay shortly after. You can find the stream on our homepage by clicking here.
