Become the king of Scotland this weekend when the GUKPT travels to Edinburgh

Do you like haggis, Guinness, castles, whiskey or big bags of cash? If the answer to just one of these is YES! YES! YES! then you need to get yourself up to Edinburgh this weekend for the latest leg in the Grosvenor UK Poker Tour (GUKPT). Remarkably, this is the first time that the UK’s longest running poker tour will have set up their camp in Scotland’s capital and it’s one tournament festival that you don’t want to miss out on.

Running from today, April 2 until April 6, there are six great tournaments including the £550 main event, which has a guarantee of £100,000 on it. That main event starts tomorrow (April 3) with Day 1A and re-entries are permitted. The last GUKPT leg took place in Manchester in March, where online star Rhys Jones beat out Simon Deadman (pictured) to the title. With his rich vein of form thus far in 2014, including over £220k in live winnings, Deadman will once again be one of the favourites. Another name to watch out for is recent PKR Live champion, and GUKPT sponsored pro Jeff Kimber

Another reason to get yourself to Edinburgh this weekend is for the next leg of the PokerPlayer Tour! Our second leg is a one day event, taking place on Sunday April 6 at 1pm. It’s a £100+£10 buyin with a turbo structure that promises to have you home and in bed counting your £50s by midnight. We’ll see you there!
