The main event of the 2014 GUKPT starts tomorrow with a whopping £400k up for grabs – get involved!
The 2014 GUKPT has been another resounding success. Ten champions have already been crowned which means the only trophy left to play for is the big one. The £400,000 guaranteed grand final kicks off tomorrow with a £2,000+£125 buy-in, spread across two Day 1s. It’s set to attract the biggest names in UK poker – and beyond – and there’s still time to get involved or just go and rail.
The action takes place in the salubrious Poker Room above the Grosvenor Victoria Casino – the spiritual home of UK poker – and if you can’t afford the direct buy-in you can still satellite in live at the Vic. There’s a £40+£5 rebuy tomorrow at 4pm with one grand final seat guaranteed. Give it a spin and you could be walking off with a meaty cash sum just in time for Christmas. Kevin Allen won it last year and pocketed £158,700. This year it could be you, but you’ve got to be in it to win it.
There are side events galore too, with a £250+£25 PLO event at 4pm tomorrow, a £200+£20 NLH Bounty event on Friday night at 7.30pm, a £300+£30 freezeout at 4pm on Saturday (two-day event) and another £200+£20 NLH Bounty on Sunday, when you can also rail the final table of the grand final.
