Bigger is most definitely better when it comes to the World Series Of Poker. A record 107,833 entries took part this year across the 69 bracelet events, which is up 4.2% from last year. It’s only the second time the WSOP has attracted over 100,000 entries. $221,211,336 was given away and a total of 15,767 players cashed this year – more then ever before after payouts were changed to 15% of the field.
But, behind the numbers, it’s the human stories that make the World Series truly unique. Pros and amateurs collide on the biggest stage of them all, and there’s always controversy to go with the celebrations. Recap the entire summer with our photo album.
