Sponsors since 2005, Paddy Power Poker have turned the Irish Open into a must-play event
It’s hard to believe that it’s been ten years since Paddy Power’s first involvement with the prestigious Irish Open. In that period we’ve had some great times with plenty of top class poker action and just as much craic! This year will be no different as we celebrate our tenth anniversary of hosting the event which will once again be held in the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel on the southside of Dublin City.
As always, there will be a host of stars from the poker world competing for the title including Mike Sexton, Nolan Dalla, Kara Scott and Padraig Parkinson, with many more to be announced in the lead-up to the event. In other words, there will be no shortage of big names to be scalped and give you a story to tell your mates!
This is the first year that we won’t have the late, great Liam Flood terrorising and entertaining the rest of the field. Liam’s memory will live on at the Paddy Power Poker Irish Open, however, with the €1,000 NLH Freezeout being named in his honour. This year we are also reinstating the €3,500 buy-in, which has returned by popular demand.
