Andrew Teng is looking for a bracelet and his first seven-figure score in the Millionaire Maker at the 2014 WSOP
We’ve finally got ourselves a Brit to cheer on at a final table at the 2014 WSOP, and it’s happened at the biggest tournament so far, the $1.5k Millionaire Maker. From a staggering 7,977 entries – which makes it the second biggest tournament in history behind the 2006 Main Event – the tournament is down to the final table of nine players. Edinburgh-based pro Andrew Teng is in third place with 4,375,000 and Stephen Graner is the man to catch with a dominating chip lead of 12,005,000.
Teng was an original member of Team PKR Pro back in 2009, and recorded his first six-figure score in the 2011 WSOP when he finished 5th in a $1k NLHE event for $105,262. That’s still his biggest career score but he’s already guaranteed more than that in the Millionaire Maker. Ninth spot pays out $128,150 but Teng will be looking at the top spots and licking his lips. First prize is a mouth watering $1.3m, with $800k for second and $600k for third.
If you want to rail, the final table of the Millionaire Maker is on the WSOP.com live stream tonight, with hole cards and commentary from David Tuchman and assorted high profile guests. The action will start at around 9.30pm/10pm tonight and could easily go 12 hours before a winner is crowned.
